Bridgewater Canal West

WARNING: Unless by canal, Worsely called ungood. Maintained and recent‐upgraded, so signposted everywhere. Flat wide tarmac all the way, developed to allow cyclists—hard on walkers. Town at Leigh, otherwise field, with some wider views. Late extension to the canal, though still early, to carry coal from the Leigh fields, empty in places, but the not‐much‐there yet astonishing view of Spinner’s Mill, also Lancashire Mining Museum and RHS Bridgewater are obvious destinations/start‐points.
