Official paths, not marked. Paths have changed from published paths—stick to changes, better for farmers and walkers. Mostly within sight of the brook. Flat good footing most places, but field paths. City roar, but mostly low. Unusual for Manchester, flat through fields of wheat, fallow, or cattle. Something different, nothing much near, but passes Greater and Lesser Woolden Halls, both listed and, outside Leigh, a view of Spinner’s Mill—beside cathedrals and waterfalls, one of the most amazing things you will in your life see.
