Bolton-Bury Canal

A little broken or blocked in some places, but the main note is the canal has been filled and buried at the Salford end. The access routes from Bury and Bolton are good. Stretches of the towpath between Farnworth and Radcliffe are stone flags, which may or may not be of interest/preferred underfoot. Most is noisy from busy roads. Salford estates aside, much is open fields, though Nob End to Moses Gate is a small valley of the Croal and Irwell rivers. Walks with interesting features, views and good stories.
