Review
A big old building, four floors of restored furniture, books and curiosity shops. Specialised (G‐Plan furniture? Cast iron fireplaces?) and honest wares, heaps of genuine curiosities. Sometimes books and art prints. It’s a good hour browse. When operating at full tilt, you can wander the sheds behind to watch people turning wood, or full‐size plastic cows. There’s a cafe in the basement, with off‐road outside seating. If you like paperweights, cast‐iron fireplaces, dressers or glaze tiles, you may be surprised how long you stay. And, if you wander outside, many cafes along the road, from basic takeaways to some perhaps unexpected conceptual bars.
